Man, 26, shot in Humboldt Park dies

A 26-year-old man shot in the Humboldt Park neighborhood has died, officials announced Tuesday. Ricardo T. Bryant, 26, was shot Monday about 10:45 a.m. in the 3100 block of West Ohio Street, police and the Cook County medical examiner's office said. Bryant was sitting in a parked vehicle when he was shot by an assailant he did not know, police said. Bryant was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, initially in critical condition but he died at 2:12 p.m. Monday, according to the medical examiner's office. An autopsy Tuesday determined Bryant, of the North Lawndale neighborhood, died of multiple gunshot wounds and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the medical examiner's office. Area 3 detectives are investigating.
